If a company isn’t growing, it’s dying
A few months back, I remember that I had a lot going on, and my hands were full. So one fine evening after I got done with a client call, my wife came to me and asked, "Danish, why are you always running?"
I said, "where am I running? I am sitting comfortably on my chair."
And she said, "I mean in life while handling the business."
Again I told her that, "No, I am not running; I am just moving ahead in life doing the work I love."
And as Lou Holtz said, "In this world, you're either growing, or you're dying, so get in motion and grow."
Especially today, in the cut-throat competition, you are either moving forward or losing ground.
And, since change is the only constant thing, you'll regress if you don't try to ramp yourself up to a new level.
Besides, maintenance is nothing but a myth. So, if a company isn’t growing, it’s dying.
"So I am just making sure our company keeps growing, not dying. And I work to make sure it continues to grow. "
And for added effects, I used Randbir's dialogue, “Main udna chahta hun, daudna chahta hun. Girna bhi chahta hun. Bas, rukna nahi chahta.”
And there she was, my support system, smiling at my passion and telling me how dramatic I can get at times.
So, here's to everyone out there; keep growing! Meet your own expectations and hit your goals with great passion.
